Dr. Jinping Lai’s first-author manuscript,  Programmed Degradation of Hydrogels with a Double-Locked Domain, has been accepted for publication in Angewandte Chemie International Edition (IF: 12.102).

In this work, a programmable hydrogel has been developed with dual-factor molecular authentication. It holds great potential for temporospatial regulation of drug delivery, cell engineering and regenerative medicine.

Dr. Wang was awarded a five-year $2 million grant from the National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases (NIAMS). This grant was awarded for a collaborative project with Dr. Na Xiong, professor of immunology in the College of Agricultural Science at Penn State. The focus of this grant is the development of semi-synthetic biomaterial wound dressings.
